What is it?
This course will give you the practical skills and knowledge of myocardial imaging and its role in the diagnosis and management of patients.
Course Content
- MPI in patient diagnosis and management of ischemic heart disease
- Pharmacological and exercise cardiac stress tests
- Legislation, policy and evidence
- Indications and contra-indications to dynamic and chemical induced stress
- Normal and common normal variant three and twelve lead ECG traces
- ECG traces for which the stressor must be stopped immediately

Nuclear Medicine Technicians, Radiographers, ECG Technicians and Nurses
Additional Information:
Entry Requirement No 1 - Applicants should have access to cardiac stress sessions and should have a locally appointed clinical supervisor to help with the practical experience. For successful completion a minimum of Intermediate Life Support Certification plus competency in peripheral cannulation is required.
