The conference explores the challenges involved in improving the patient’s
experience of therapeutic footwear
Conference aimed at: podiatrists, orthotists, physiotherapists and others
nterested in therapeutic footwear
Conference Focus
The aim of the conference is to update delegates on current research,
clinical and service developments in aspects of specialist, therapeutic
footwear provision in order to provide patients with optimal care and positive health outcomes.
Conference Content
• Knowledge and understanding of footwear issues from the user’s perspective
• Potential solutions to the known problems with therapeutic footwear services
• Knowledge of new technology and its impact on footwear design and manufacture in relation to the clinicians’ and patients’ needs
• Methods of evaluating the effectiveness of therapeutic footwear
• To conclude, there will be an open forum where delegates will have the opportunity to engage in debate about current footwear service provisions
There will be a trade exhibition and delegates will be provided with
refreshments, lunch and parking.
